How to Prepare Your Presentation
Please find the guidance on how to prepare for your poster and oral presentation for SilicoNPV 2026 below. Please read these instructions carefully and follow them accordingly.
Registration is mandatory for all presenters (no matter if online or on-site). If an author (or co-author) is not registered, the presentation will not be included in the conference program and the paper will not be eligible for publication in the proceedings.

Check your presentation time and schedule
- The detailed program here shows the time of your session. All times are shown in Eastern European Summer Time (UTC+3).
- Regular oral presentations are 15 minutes, including 3 minutes of discussion time (12+3 min). Please make sure to strictly keep this time limit. (Presentation times for keynotes deviate from that. Please check the conference program for your speaking time.)
Presentations Upload
- If you are presenting on-site in Ankara, please hand in your pptx 16:9 presentation on an USB flash drive to the media upload desk at the venue at least 1 hour before your session starts
- If you are presenting online, start the presentation at home and share your screen in webinargeek. Detailed instructions for online presenter can be found here.
- Your PPTX presentation should not exceed 100 MB.
Formatting Instructions for presentations on-site in Ankara
- Presentations in .ppt format and .pptx format will be accepted. If your presentation was created with an Apple device, please test the file on a Windows PC to make sure that it is correctly displayed.
- Avoid any external links in your presentation. The presentation computers do not have an internet connection.
- Non-standard fonts should be embedded.
- All images and graphs must be embedded without links.
- Past experience shows that video clips often cause technical difficulties. If you intend to use video clips, please double-check at the media upload desk.
Additional Instructions
- Please meet your session chairs inside the conference room in Ankara at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your oral session and familiarize yourself with the technical equipment.
- If you are presenting online please enter the test session 20min prior the beginning of your session. Details here.
- Please upload a short bio / introduction text (2-3 sentences) to your profile in Fourwaves, so the session chairs may properly introduce you.
Internal Area
- You may upload a PDF version of your presentation, this will be visible for all participants in the internal area. The PDF can be an adjusted version of the PPT file. Uploads are possible here.
1. Go to your submission page on the Fourwaves dashboard.
2. Select your submission.
3. Click "Edit Submission" on the right side.
4. Select "Oral Presentation".
5. Upload the PDF file.
6. Remember to save the form when you are done.
- Mind that this does not replace the presentation on site.
Conference Registration
- Only abstracts which have been presented at the conference (online or on-site) will be allowed for full paper submission for the conference proceedings.

Poster Session 1 will take place on-site only; however, all accepted posters may be presented online during Poster Session 2. The committee will evaluate all uploaded posters in Poster Session 2 in order to decide who will receive the poster awards. The awards will be presented to the four best posters during the closing session.
General Information
- Poster authors are requested to bring the printed poster to the conference in DIN A0 format by themselves in case they attend on-site.
- Please upload your poster as a PDF file, no matter whether you are attending on-site in Ankara or online. It will then be available to registered conference participants in the password-protected internal area and of course also during the poster session.
- Please see the detailed program for the time of the poster sessions. All times are shown in Eastern European Summer Time (UTC+3).
- Please be available at your poster during the relevant poster session for questions and discussion.
We ask poster authors that attend on-site to take care of the following:
- You are responsible for printing your poster in advance and for putting it up at the conference. It is not possible to print your poster at the venue.
- Your poster should be with a maximum size of DIN A0 format (width of max. 84 cm/ 33 inches x height of max. 119 cm/ 47 inches)
- Please make sure that letters are sufficiently large to be read from a distance of 1-3 m.
- Please mount your poster on Monday morning, April 13. Mounting material will be provided.
- We don’t recommend bringing fabric posters as they fall off easily.
- In order to find the spot where your poster should be mounted, appropriate signs will be put up on each poster wall indicating the author’s name, poster title, and poster number. If you have difficulties finding your assigned poster spot at the conference site, please seek out one of our staff members and we will be happy to assist you.
- Please do not remove your poster before the conference ends. The posters are an integral part of the scientific program and should be displayed the entire time.
- Please remove your poster after the closing session. Posters remaining after the conference has ended will be discarded.
