Check your presentation time and schedule
- The detailed program here shows the time of your session. All times are shown in Eastern European Summer Time (UTC+3).
- Regular oral presentations are 15 minutes, including 3 minutes of discussion time (12+3 min). Please make sure to strictly keep this time limit. (Presentation times for keynotes deviate from that. Please check the conference program for your speaking time.)
Presentations Upload
- All oral presentation slides must be uploaded in PPT/PPTX 16:9 format to the Fourwaves Platform in advance. The deadline to upload your presentation is April 10.
- Your PPT/PPTX presentation should not exceed 100 MB.
Formatting Instructions
- Presentations in .ppt format and .pptx format will be accepted. If your presentation was created with an Apple device, please test the file on a Windows PC to make sure that it is correctly displayed.
- Avoid any external links in your presentation. The presentation computers do not have an internet connection.
- Non-standard fonts should be embedded.
- All images and graphs must be embedded without links.
- Past experience shows that video clips often cause technical difficulties. If you intend to use video clips, please double-check at the media upload desk.
Media Upload
- Please bring a USB flash drive with the presentation to the conference as a backup solution.
- You will not be able to display your presentation directly from your laptop or memory stick. All presentations must be uploaded to the conference system in advance.
Presentation Upload Furing the Conference
- If you have not uploaded your presentation to the Fourwaves platform in advance, please hand in your presentation at least two hours before the beginning of your session at the media upload desk on a USB flash drive. (The online platform upload closes on April 10, midnight)
- We strongly advise uploading your presentation in advance to avoid queues and potential setbacks.
Additional Instructions
- Please meet your session chairs inside the conference room at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your oral session and familiarize yourself with the technical equipment.
- Please upload a short bio / introduction text (2-3 sentences) to your profile in Fourwaves, so the session chairs may properly introduce you.
Internal Area
- You may upload a PDF version of your presentation, this will be visible for all participants in the internal area. The PDF can be an adjusted version of the PPT file. Uploads will be possible as of March. Mind that this does not replace the presentation on site.
Conference Registration
- Only abstracts which have been presented at the conference will be allowed for full paper submission for the conference proceedings.
- The ticket shop will open in February. The deadline for presenters to register is February 28.

- Please be available at your poster during the relevant poster session for questions and discussion
We ask poster authors to take care of the following:

- Your poster should be with a maximum size of DIN A0 format (width of max. 84 cm/ 33 inches x height of max. 119 cm/ 47 inches)

- Please mount your poster on Monday morning, April 13. Mounting material will be provided.
- We don’t recommend bringing fabric posters as they fall off easily.
- In order to find the spot where your poster should be mounted, appropriate signs will be put up on each poster wall indicating the author’s name, poster title, and poster number. If you have difficulties finding your assigned poster spot at the conference site, please seek out one of our staff members and we will be happy to assist you.
- Please do not remove your poster before the conference ends. The posters are an integral part of the scientific program and should be displayed the entire time.
- Please remove your poster after the closing session. Posters remaining after the conference has ended will be discarded.
Presentations for Internal Area
All poster presenters may upload their poster in PDF format to the Internal Area for all registered participants to view. Uploads will be possible as of March. Mind that this does not replace the poster presentation on site.
