SiliconPV Conference

SiliconPV Proceedings and Reviewing Procedure

The SiliconPV conference proceedings will be published with TIB Open Publishing. All papers meeting the requirements on scientific quality will be available in an open access conference proceedings series. TIB Open Publishing is a new service of TIB, “Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology University Library” in Hanover in Germany, the world’s largest specialist library for technology and natural sciences.

TIB-OP's open-access policy means that authors retain copyright and all content can be reused unrestrictedly according to CC-BY 4.0. The proceedings will or should be indexed in Google Scholar, the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (part of Web of Science), Scopus (Elsevier) and other important scientific databases world-wide.

Publication with TIB-OP provides optimum visibility of the proceedings and papers and will ensure that the authors' publications remain traceable and citable. Published papers will be freely accessible on the TIB-OP website and contain an ISSN number for each volume as well as individual DOI numbers for each paper.

The full paper template is available here. Information on common errors and format check can be found here.

Best 20 Papers in SOLMAT

The best 20 SiliconPV papers will be published in a Special Issue: SiliconPV 2024 in Elsevier’s peer reviewed journal SOLMAT. The SOLMAT papers 2024 will be selected in the abstract reviewing process. Papers which are part of the special issue, will not be part of the conference proceedings in TIB. Authors submitting a paper for SOLMAT will receive further information by e-mail.

All conference participants will receive free access to these papers for a promotional period of three months once the special issue is completed (unless the author has chosen the Gold Open Access option).

Reviewing Process

All abstracts and full papers will be subject to a detailed reviewing process. Review criteria include:

1. Significance, Relevance and Interest:

  • Significance: The overall importance or worth of the reported work, including implications for practices, policies or further research.
  • Relevance: Please make sure that your abstract fits into the topic you chose. Abstracts with inappropriate contents or commercial advertisements will be rejected.
  • Interest: Interest to the conference participants: promise to have a significant impact for their work.

2. Originality:

The measure of the creativity or inventiveness of the author, including new concepts, techniques, and methods.

3. Scientific / Technical Quality of your Results, Organization, Completeness, Acknowledgement, Formalities, Clarity:

  • Scientific and Technical Quality: Explanation of results (already obtained, not planned!) using a sound scientific background; Stating errors and, as much as possible, statistical significance of the measured data; Usage of independently confirmed efficiencies (if possible).
  • Organization: The careful planning and logical structure of the manuscript, including a logical presentation and analysis of the results, findings, inferences and conclusions.
  • Completeness: The oneness or wholeness of the work. In this usage, the reported work should be marked by a unity and continuity of parts and show interdependence between these parts.
  • Acknowledgment: The adequate and accurate use of references to attribute the work of others.
  • Formalities: Clear presentation of tables, graphs, and illustrations; appropriate style and ease of reading; conformance with specifications for length and format details, proper layout (graphs, etc.).
  • Clarity: The correctness of English spelling and grammar, as well as the clear presentation of tables, graphs, and illustrations.

In addition to an extended abstract, a short abstract (max 300 words) has to be inserted directly in the conference management system. This short abstract will be published in the download area on the conference website for participants only. The abstract PDF won't be published.
