How to get there by air:

Hangzhou is easily accessible by air to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. Further details can be found here: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/zhejiang/hangzhou/airport.htm

From the airport there are several shuttle buses to the city center (approx. 20 RMB). The shuttle buses of Hangzhou Airport usually take an hour to the city center and around 50 minutes to Xiaoshan District. The waiting hall for the shuttle bus is at Gate 14, Arrival Hall, on the first floor of the terminal building.

The schedule for the buses can be found here:

https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/zhejiang/hangzhou/airport-transportation.htm

A taxi from the airport to the city will be around 100 RMB.

High Speed Train from Shanghai:

Additionally, Hangzhou can be reached from Shanghai with the high speed train. See details:https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/zhejiang/hangzhou/shanghai-transportation.htm

All high speed trains arrive at Hangzhou East Train Station (火车东站). From there you may reach the conference hotel by Metro. Take line 4 (green) to Qiangjiang Road (钱江路) and change to line 2 (orange) there. Please get out at the station People's Square (人民广场).

There is no direct flight from Shanghai to Hangzhou. The best and the fastest way is to travel by Shanghai–Hangzhou bullet train which takes one hour and costs CNY50-80. Normal train is an economy choice, only costing CNY25-30 and the duration is 2-3 hours.

Public Transportation

The New Century Grand Hotel Hangzhou is easyliy acessible using Metro line 2 (orange color).

Please get out at the station: People's Square (人民广场)
(The closest exit to the hotel is Exit C but it does not have escalators. Exid D is close as well and provides escalators.)

Please find the Hangzhou Metro Map here.

>> You may also plan your trip online (Chinese only).

A single Metro ride is about 5 RMB. Tickets may be purchased at a ticket machine (English possible).  Alternatively, you may buy a Metro Card for about 15 RMB and top-up credit (whatever you estimate to use for the week).
