How to get there by air:

Hangzhou is easily accessible by air to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. Further details can be found here:


From the airport there are several shuttle buses to the city center (approx. 20 RMB). Take the shuttle bus of Binjiang line (滨江线) and arrive at the Jiangling Road subway station (江陵路). Take metro line 1 (red) to Jinjiang (近江) and change there to metro line 4 (green) to Qianjiang Road (钱江路), then change to line 2 (orange) to People's Square (人民广场). It will take you around 1 hour and 40 minutes. A Metro ride is about 5 RMB.


A taxi from the Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport to the conference hotel will be around 100 RMB and will take about 40 minutes.


Via Shanghai

Shanghai has 2 airports: Pudong and Hongqiao. 

If you arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport you may easily get to Hangzhou by bus.

There are long distance buses from the airport to Hangzhou every day. Departure times are: 8:40  9:50  11:00  12:00  13:00  14:00 15:00  16:00  16:40  17:20  18:00  19:00  20:00  21:00

The long distance buses will take about 3 hours to the Wulinmen station (武林门) in Hangzhou, then change to the metro line 2 (orange) to People's Square (人民广场). Take exid D and walk to the conference hotel.

The long distance bus ticket is 120 RMB and can be bought it in the airport.

If you arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, you first have to get to Hongqiao train station which is in the same building. You can either walk to Hongqiao train station (800 m) or take Metro Line 2 (3 RMB). Then take the train to Hangzhou East Train Station.

How to get there by train:

High-speed Train from Shanghai

Hangzhou can be reached from Shanghai Hongqiao train station with the high-speed train. See details:

The best and the fastest way is to travel by Shanghai–Hangzhou bullet train which takes one hour and costs from 80 RMB. Normal train is an economy choice, only costing 25-30 RMB and the duration is 2-3 hours.

All high-speed trains arrive at Hangzhou East Train Station (火车东站). From there you may reach the conference hotel by Metro. Take line 4 (green) to Qiangjiang Road (钱江路) and change to line 2 (orange) there. Please get out at the station People's Square (人民广场), exit D.

There are two more train stations in Hangzhou:

If you arrive at the Hangzhou Railway Station, take metro line 1 (red) to Fengqi Road (凤起路) and change to line 2 (orange) to People's Square (人民广场). This will take you about 50 minutes.

A taxi from the station to the conference hotel will take 40 minutes (around 70 RMB).

From the Hangzhou South Railway Station you may reach the conference hotel in about 30 minutes with the bus 300 from the railway station to the new century grand hotel station.

A taxi from the station to the conference hotel will take 15 minutes (around 15 RMB).

Public Transportation

The New Century Grand Hotel Hangzhou is easily acessible using Metro line 2 (orange color).

Please get out at the station: People's Square (人民广场)
(Please use Exit D to get out close to the hotel. This exit also provides escalators.)

A single Metro ride is about 5 RMB. Tickets may be purchased at a ticket machine (English possible).  Alternatively, you may buy a Metro Card for about 15 RMB deposit and top-up credit (whatever you estimate to use for the week).
